National High School Entrepreneurship Competition is the flagship Tournament designed to provide a platform for all SAGE Teams in High Schools across the sixteen regions. NHSEC is preceded with a Regional Tournament organized to select three schools from each Region. Winners from the NHSEC are given the opportunity to represent Ghana in a global Tournament at the SAGE World Cup Competition. Beyond NHSEC, teams who complete SHS have an opportunity to continue their entrepreneurial ventures at the Tertiary level. SEG in partnership with Idea Gap makes tat possible with the flagship Techwiz Competition especially designed for Tech-Base Projects.
National High School Entrepreneurship Competition is designed to develop entrepreneurial smarts within high school students through real business simulations. The SAGE National High School Entrepreneurship Competition is a 3-day annual National event. This event is proceeded by a Regional Qualier where three Winning Teams from each sixteen Region participate to battle for the National Champion.
At the competition, enthusiastic young entrepreneurs present the results of their entrepreneurial and social ventures projects to a Panel of Jurists consisting of local and international business, civic and educational leaders. Two winners will be selected in the SAGE Competition for various Prizes, opportunity to represent Ghana at selected International Tournaments and an opportunity to win a Seed Capital for their projects.
A School/Community-Based Teams with business initiative(s) that is (are) focused on addressing at least one CUSTOMER PROBLEM and has the ability to MAXIMIZE PROFIT and SCALE while addressing at least one SOCIAL PROBLEM, thus making SOCIAL IMPACT. SAGE Teams are assessed with the Judging Criteria.
Each school is given a certificate of participation and capable of winning any of the SDGs.
Schools with multiple projects can also enroll to compet any of the special competitions.
Techbooth Challenge is a Special Challenge designed to address challenges in the community which are best solved with technological initiatives not limited to App Development, Website, Devices, Internet of Things (IoT), etc. Teenagers in High School with any club are eligible to submit their Tech - Oriented entries for consideration for the Techbooth Challenge.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries to making the world a better place. SAGE Teams are required to address one or more of the 17 goals in undertaking their business activities. SAGE teams advancing to the National Cup are eligible to submit their entries for consideration for one or more of the 17 goals.
